G2 Integrated Solutions presented Enhanced Pipeline Risk Assessment at the Louisiana Pipeline Association Dinner.

G2 Integrated Solutions (G2-IS) presented its Enhanced Pipeline Risk Assessment (EPRA) process at the October meeting of the Louisiana Pipeliners Association in Baton Rouge on October 16, 2017.  Christian Calvi, P.E., a G2 Principal Consultant provided an overview of the EPRA process for pipelines to the attendees.  The EPRA method resolves the concerns expressed by the regulatory authorities regarding the weaknesses of the industry’s current risk assessment processes.  Risk models using the EPRA process allows operators in evaluating alternatives by assessing the impacts of proposed mitigations and help drive better business decisions.  In addition, G2 successfully adapted the EPRA process in evaluating risk for wells, facilities and equipment.  This novel approach demonstrated that the method is robust enough to model risk for other things besides pipelines and can provide the data needed for the decision-making process that industry needs.

High performing organizations perform gap assessments (health checks) to assure themselves that personnel and prog rams are being executed as planned. Similar to personal health check-ups, these organizations use gap assessments to monitor their processes, identify areas of weaknesses and implement improve plans as integral part of their continuous improvement efforts.
