G2 Integrated Solutions (G2-IS) has named Greg McCool the Vice President of Technology Solutions.
McCool, a 25-year oil & gas midstream strategy and technology leader, brings a unique blend of experience with operator enterprise systems, business processes, and risk management consulting to drive G2-IS’s software and technology road map.
As a previous operator, McCool understands client priorities in achieving safe and efficient operations and the value of accurate data used for critical commercial decision making. Under Greg’s leadership, G2-IS’s technology investment will emphasize technology solutions that deliver measurable improvement to our client’s business processes while helping them unlock the value of existing IT and ERP investments. Previously, McCool held a strategic commercial role on G2-IS’s leadership team responsible for acquisitions, partnerships, marketing and client management. As a technical SME, he specializes in delivering solutions that span the client’s value chain including process mapping, software development, GIS, data and records management, field mobility, data hosting and web services.
Prior to joining G2-IS, McCool amassed over 20 years of experience with operators including El Paso Corporation (now Kinder Morgan), Occidental, and Enbridge. In addition to technical and leadership assignments in engineering and operations, McCool oversaw the successful visioning, architecting, integrating and managing of four mid to large scale company-wide enterprise systems deployments by leading stakeholder teams representing field inspection, regulatory compliance, asset/work management, integrity management, SCADA, GIS, document management, engineering projects, and commercial. Reporting to executive leadership, he served as steering committee lead in charge of directing multi-generational technology and data improvement initiatives. McCool was introduced to Six Sigma and industry best practices in software technology while at General Electric as a Product Manager of GE’s global GIS and Data Management business.
Greg earned his Bachelor of Business Administration from Houston Baptist University and his Master of Business Administration from the Jones School at Rice University.
